MacroPlan is thrilled with yesterday’s announcement that Alex Gersbach, the teenage son of our NSW General Manager, Wayne Gersbach and wife Nicki, has been included in the Socceroos squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Tajikistan and Jordan. The Sydney Morning Herald called Alex a dynamic, young full-back with long-term prospects for the Socceroos team. Coach Ange Postecoglou described Alex, just 18 years old, as a “really exciting young talent” developed in the A League. He was selected along with another young defender, Jason Geria. “The full-back positions are where I still think we need to have some more depth.
"It's a perfect time to give them a chance, to bring them into the squad and get them integrated into the senior team and see if we can give them an opportunity.”
MacroPlan CEO, Michael Tilt, who has a passion for football, said, “It’s very rare for someone so young to be recognised at this elite level. We are all excited to have a Socceroo in the MacroPlan family. As a business, we focus on building communities and making sure they function well together. Soccer exemplifies that drive for successful team work.”
