The South East Queensland Regional Plan is currently under review and The Palaszczuk Government are urging South East Queenslanders to have their say. The South East Queensland Regional Plan is a 50 year strategic vision for our region that sets the framework for how to respond to change as we grow, ensure liability, sustainability and protect our quality of life.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning Jackie Trad has launched ‘Shaping SEQ’, which is a six week consultation period where the public are encouraged to share their ideas and vision for the South East Queensland Regional Plan.
The SEQ region is changing and growing. The regional plan allows us to realise the opportunities of growth while preserving the things we love about our communities. We will also be able to respond to the challenges that change brings.
‘Shaping SEQ’ will help establish an understanding of the key issues in planning for the region and the values, priorities and great ideas the community has for the future of SEQ.
We need to talk about the opportunities and challenges to establish a plan that will guide our region for the next 50 years.
Join the conversation by sharing your ideas about the key themes; grow, live, connect, prosper and sustain or attend a community event near you.
