Author: Dino Raftopulos, Project Manager From project management, to planning, economics and market research, Macroplan has been working closely with HUA KAI Group to develop a master planned terrace community across 11,817sqm in Sydney’s rapidly evolving Hills Shire.
As the project’s lead consultant, Macroplan is currently managing the design team; including architects Rothelowman to design a premium terrace community on the fringe of Norwest Business Park. Briefed by the developer to create homes that are highly architectually innovative, functional, and environmentally sustainable, we are leading the design team to craft a project that will set a new quality benchmark in the changing urban fabric of the the Hills Shire.
Stimulated by the forecast completion of stage 1 of the Sydney Metro Northwest in 2019 and an estimated population increase in Baulkham Hills of over 150,000 over the next 20 years (Source: NSW Population Projections 2016), the need for quality affordable medium density housing alongside land and apartment development, is recognised by the Hills Shire Council. Targeting young families, Hills residents who work in the CBD, investors and downsizers, the MacroPlan team is shaping a suite of housing products that resonate with and reflect the diversity of buyers in the Hills.
While we can’t reveal any of the design details just yet, the project is scheduled to for DA lodgement in early 2018 with an approval likely by September 2018.
