MacroPlan and the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) recently entered into a charitable partnership with Aussie charity Orange Sky. Orange Sky started in late 2014 washing and drying clothes for the homeless. Now they have 11 mobile laundry vans, 3 dedicated shower vans and over 800 volunteers making positive connections with people who are doing it tough. These genuine, non-judgmental conversations, which occur while the washers are spinning and the showers sprinkling, have the power to change lives.
MacroPlan and PIA set an annual fundraising target of: $25,000.00.
To break it down - $3.00 pays for a hot shower and $6.00 pays for washing and drying a load of clothes.
Firstly - we met and exceeded this target (during the course of 2017 Congress - about 1 week). We're currently sitting at just over $26,000.00 and that would not be possible without a number of incredibly generous supporters.
