Client: Department of New South Wales
Macroplan was engaged by Transport for NSW to provide market research services in relation to the potential redevelopment of an underutilised precinct located in the suburb of Glendale in the City of Lake Macquarie. Macroplan reviewed several relevant documents, undertook a site inspection, and prepared a detailed market demand and supply assessment involving multiple land uses that may be supported within the precinct. This includes residential, senior living, retail, short-term accommodation and commercial uses.
The assessment examined the likely market potential for each of the candidate uses, including their likely sizing parameters and timing as well as key considerations, opportunities and risks. The assessment provided inputs to inform the masterplan, use mix and the overall positioning of the precinct. It also involved a preliminary financial feasibility study which provided the key financial inputs prior to a more comprehensive feasibility assessment.
