Damian Tan



Damian is a passionate and seasoned land-use economist, who possesses a wealth of knowledge drawn from his 5-years of experience in the property industry.

During his career, Damian has developed an in-depth and highly specialised skillset through his work on a plethora of major projects with regional significance. Through his work, Damian has provided his clients in Federal, State and local governments, as well as a number of Australia’s prominent landowners and leading developers with strategic advice to maximise the output and efficiency of their projects.

Damian’s role at Macroplan has allowed him to develop key experience in a plethora of disciplines including strategic advisory, land-use economic analysis, demographic analysis, property market research/analysis, economic and demographic forecasting, feasibility studies, supply and demand modelling, statistical modelling and geospatial mapping.

The core of Damian’s knowledge bestows upon his a keen knowledge across a wide range of development industries such as Commercial Offices, Aged Care and Retirement Living, Medical and Allied Health, Short-stay Accommodation and Child Care, and has his long-standing experience has extended the breadth of his knowledge into specialised areas such as key emerging property markets such as build to rent & affordable housing, as well as key global trends that affect development requirements such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
